About Our School - What is a Montessori school?

Hands-on learning at the Chippewa Valley Montessori Charter SchoolThrough a minds-on, hands-on approach to learning, Montessori school helps children develop independence, self-sufficiency, respect, teamwork, confidence, self-discipline, and competence. Children naturally love to learn. The school provides a joyful, spontaneous learning environment. The Montessori
method engages the child's inborn curiosity through the use of concrete materials. Children learn about
themselves and their environment by doing.
